Founded in 2001 by Amala Perera, Forget-Me-Not Montessori School has proudly served Vancouver families for over 20 years. Today we continue to provide an authentic Montessori education where children learn with confidence, independence and joy — in our house on Ash Street that has kept the same intention from the very first morning.

“Education has always been more than a profession — it is my passion.”
Michelle holds a degree in Business. After discovering her passion for working with young children, she began her journey in early childhood education in 2013 and completed her Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma.
With more than a decade of experience in the field, Michelle brings together her business background, classroom experience, and perspective as a parent in her role as Director. She is committed to building a caring and inclusive school community where children, families, and educators feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
Michelle believes every child is unique and should be given the time, encouragement, and freedom to grow at their own pace. She is passionate about creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore, express themselves, and develop independence. Her goal is to help each child build confidence, kindness, curiosity, and a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

With over 10 years of experience as a Montessori Guide, Karina is passionate about creating a warm, respectful, and engaging environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Karina holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, as well as Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and Montessori Guide certifications. Her passion for working with young children led her to a career where she can combine creativity, continuous learning, and a commitment to helping each child reach their full potential. Karina believes every child is unique and should be supported in growing at their own pace. Her approach focuses on nurturing the whole child by encouraging independence, confidence, emotional well-being, social skills, and a lifelong love of learning. She feels privileged to be part of each child’s early years and to help build a strong foundation for their future.

Piumi is a certified Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) with ten years of teaching experience overseas—seven years as a primary school teacher and three years as an elementary school teacher. She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Piumi is passionate about creating a warm, caring, and engaging environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. She especially enjoys planning creative art activities and hands-on learning experiences that encourage children to explore, express themselves, and build confidence.
Piumi believes that every child is unique and deserves to feel seen, heard, and respected. Her goal is to support each child in developing confidence, independence, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning—while creating joyful memories that will stay with them for years to come.
